“I just wanted to say what a great team this is! I have seen team members at the Danskin and again last night at the Bastille Days 5K. I just want to say thank you for increasing awareness of these 4 cancers. Tri racing is such an empowering event for me and to have women do if for such a great cause makes all the pain and hard training worth every minute. Like a team member said on your site, the pain you go through during a race is nothingcompared to the fight of cancer. I have lost two grandparents to cancer and my aunt is a breast cancer survivor! Although I am not a member of Team4, you have inspired me to race the rest of my season in their honor. Thank you! Good luck reaching your goal and I'm sure I'll see you ladies at future races.”
“I just read about Team 4 in my Triathlete Magazine. I was diagnosed 4weeks ago at the age of 31 with Ovarian Cancer and have begun my fight. I am also a fellow Iron Girl and I am training for a Half Ironman this fall. I would love to be able wear your race gear and help support your cause, raising money for something that has affected my life. My cousin is fighting breast cancer and my brother is a blood cancer survivor. Could you contact me and let me know if I could order your race gear to wear in local triathlon's here in Florida? Also, let me know how I could help you raise funds!”
“I first wondered about your team at triing for kids where I noticed the uniforms and then did research on the computer to find out more. I applaud your choice to expand the money to other cancers that affect women. I did my first triathlon this year, it is something I have wanted to do for a long time but kept putting off because of my kids and my weight. This past year my baby sister (32) was diagnosed with vulva cancer-very rare, and usually in post-menopausal women, she had surgery but, it has come back and her body is rejecting its own tissue. I entered my first triathlon for my sister and myself in January. I have now done 2 triathlons- Danskin and Tri-ing for Children's and will be doing one more this year. After "Tri-ing for children's" I was hooked and now I am "TRAINING" for future triathlons!! I have lost more than 45 pounds since January and am in better shape than before my 5 kids! Thanks for your work and awareness-I look forward to meeting of your team and supporting your organization when I can!”
"This is my first season doing triathlons and I am interested in learning more about racing to raise money for cancer, breast and cervical cancer in particular. I live in Chicago and wondering if you know where races are or if there are groups in Chicago like yours."
"I am an ovca survivor and sprint triathlete. Actually, I was dx three weeks after doing the Danskin Tri, Who knew. Ovarian ca is the silent stalker, and I was so happy to hear of team 4, raising awareness for female ca. I would love to join the team, and have several family members who also do tri's, and would be interesed in this group. How do I sign up? When's the next sprint? I live in WI, so tri season here is realatively short. Maybe we could be a presence at the road races, also? Let me know...thank you so much!"
